The Boys Behind The Computers

While I was still in secondary school, their industry grew gradually until it became viral say 3 years ago and turned the highpoint for a lot of boys.

I decided to talk about the dream cars of an upcoming guy in this industry.Today I’ll be discussing the 2010 TOYOTA CAMRY aka VULTRON.

XV40

Toyota is a Japanese manufacturer that was founded in 1982 originally started with production of narrow body models until 1990s when they switched to wide bodied models. From 1979-2011, the transition from the V10 to XV50 occured with facelifts and strive for growth as their motives.

The name Camry was coined from a Japanese name “KANMURI” meaning CROWN which accounts for the nomenclature of it’s primary models from:

Toyota Crown=>Toyota Corona=>Toyota Corolla.

V10

The V10 adopted a front wheel drive with it’s engine transversely mounted, it is considered spacious because the fuel tank is placed underneath the backseat to increase luggage space.

Some amazing things about the V10 is it’s possession of a sensor to detect worn out brake pads,that is alerted by an audible chime, facelifted models arrived with redesigned bumpers,revised tail lamps, updated dashboard and door mounted side mirrors as opposed to fender mounted.

Down to the XV40,it was introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show alongside a hybrid version and went on a sale in March 2006 for the 2007 model year. It’s 2.4liter engine produces about 160horsepower and came with a five speed auto transmission,while the 3.5liter V6 engine(an engine with 6 cylinders mounted on the crankshaft-a mechanical device used to convert reciprocating motion to rotational) with a six speed automatic transmission which produces almost twice  that of the 2.4liter engine’s horsepower.It is the first in which the Camry has been available as a gasoline/electric hybrid(switches between two or more distinct types of power in functioning such as internal combustion engine plus electric motor)

As for sales it did pretty well for itself as it emerged the best selling passenger car from 1997-2015 and the best selling medium car in Australia since 1993.

Sincerely,I’m not a fan of this car not because it’s not a very powerful car but because of personal specifications.

Stay tuned for the part 2 of my car stories on “THE BOYS BEHIND THE COMPUTERS”

Till my next post. Stay Fulfilled!
